TWIZEL TOWN CENTRE UPGRADE

The Twizel Town Centre project was initiated by the Twizel Community Board following the completion of a town visionary project called Twizel “the future starts today”. The new design seeks to breathe life back into the town centre and provide the town with a heart.  The design replaces the vast expanse of concrete with a mixture of elements including lawns, gardens, wetland features and a legible paving layout. “The comments from visitors to Twizel have been nothing but positive and in general they say that they have not seen any Town Centre that would even compare.  “It’s a credit to the Community” The Twizel Community Board

CLEARWATER

The Isaac Construction Co Limited is a major shareholder in Clearwater Resort Limited. The Clearwater Golf Course which was host to the Clearwater Classic in 2002 was completed and opened in March 2002. We were also the Head Contractor in the building of the golf course itself utilising G.P.S. Control for earthworks as well as preparing the roading, cart paths and International standard Tennis Court within the resort.

SH74 Travis Road, Burwood Road, QE11 Drive Intersection Improvements (work in progress)

This New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) contract was for the removal of the existing roundabout and the installation of traffic lights at a very busy arterial route intersection.  Other works included earthworks, drainage works, pavement construction, kerb and channel, pavement marking, traffic signal installation, footpaths, landscaping, signage, services protection and traffic management. Feedback from both the public and client has been very positive with the job being completed to a high quality standard.

harman street reconstruction

This Christchurch City Council contract involved the full reconstruction of Harman Street (Lincoln Road to Selwyn Street), Grove Road (Harman Street to Moorhouse Avenue) and Cotterill Street (Poulson Street to Harman Street).  A total of 1,100m of roads.  Works included construction of new kerb and channel, drainage, asphaltic concrete paths and vehicle crossings, parking bays, grass berms, landscape planting and carriageway pavements. Work was carried out by Isaac teams on a busy road environment requiring close liaison with the residents.  An excellent working relationship was built up with the Christchurch City Council.
