A joint commitment to engaging with their communities and a shared set of values has seen Isaac Construction Ltd and the BNZ Crusaders partner together for the first time in 2018.

As the Regional Partner of the Crusaders, Isaac Construction will help the team to maximise fan engagement opportunities throughout the Crusaders region. A visit by Crusaders players to schools on the West Coast when the team travelled there for their first pre-season game on Friday kicked off the new partnership.

"We really value the support that we have right across our catchment area and, while it is not as easy to regularly get to the further reaches of the Crusaders region, it is important to us that we engage meaningfully with those fan bases outside of Christchurch however we can. We appreciated Isaac Construction helping the team to connect with some young supporters on the West Coast last week, by bringing a group of players to Paroa Primary School, Greymouth Hospital and the local St Vincent De Paul charity store, and we are looking forward to working together on future opportunities with our new Regional Partner," BNZ Crusaders CEO, Hamish Riach, said.

Isaac Construction is a Christchurch-based civil construction company that carries out work throughout the wider Crusaders region. The company, founded in 1950 by the late Sir Neil and Lady Diana Isaac, is now owned by The Isaac Conservation and Wildlife Trust and significantly contributes to the Trusts philanthropic activities.

"The Isaac name is iconic in Christchurch, thanks to the way that Sir Neil and Lady Diana Isaac used their success to give back to the city. This is an inspirational company with strong values, and one we are honoured to be partnered with," Mr Riach said.

Isaac Construction CEO, Jeremy Dixon, said the relationship with the Crusaders was another way of living up to the company’s commitment to put people first.

"One of the core values at Isaac Construction is ‘a place where people matter’, which means we believe our people are our strongest asset and are worth investing in. This partnership with the Crusaders is partly about rewarding and engaging our staff, given how many of our people are big Crusaders fans and how proud they will be to be aligned with this team.

"We are also excited about the staff development opportunities that this partnership presents, with the potential for some mutually beneficial training and mentoring across the two organisations.

"The third main benefit we see from this relationship is a new way of engaging with the communities we work in. We want to use our position as the Regional Partner of the Crusaders to give something back to the communities that support us," Mr Dixon said.

"We can see a very natural fit between these two organisations, both geographically but also because of the values we share. These are two organisations who have earned a reputation for excellence, who recognise that it is their people who have got them to where they are today, and who are passionate about giving back to the regions they represent," Mr Dixon said.
