With the vast growth of Isaac Construction into Blenheim, it was only fitting that we would look to engage with the local community by visiting the kids at Spring Creek School and Rapaura School close by the North Bank project that Isaac’s have recently been working on along with Crusader players Matt Todd, Quinten Strange and Andrew Makalio.
A warm 21° saw our day start at Spring Creek School where we were greeted by a school role of 42 excited kids to get a glimpse at some their rugby heroes who put the kids through their paces with games and activities and a chance for each of the kids to het autographs and photos.
We then headed to Rapaura School where the guys were intensely grilled with hard hitting questions from a classroom full of inquisitive kids and then we were all treated with a stirring haka performance from a number of the kids which was very special moment for all to see.
Both schools were presented with rugby balls provided by Isaac’s to contribute to their sporting resources.
Our thanks goes out to Principal Michelle Spencer of Rapaua School and Debbie Stanger of Spring Creek School for allowing us to be a part of your schools day and making us all feel very much welcomed.
Also a special mention and thanks to Laurin Gane and Dave McCormick of the Moutere Rugby Club for arranging our visits to the schools, a great day was had by all.
